Estate Planning

The Marshall Community Foundation successfully meets the National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations administered by the Council on Foundations in Washington D.C. National Standards represents the highest measure of accountability and transparency in philanthropy.

We are pleased that you have an interest in learning about the many benefits of Estate Planning. Estate Planning is sometimes referred to as Planned Giving, Deferred Giving and/or Legacy Gifting.

So to alleviate any confusion, you will find that the Foundation has chosen to use Estate Planning throughout this section.

The true purpose of the Foundation is not only to have benefited the community in the past but now, as well as in the future. Many of our 'Family of Supporters' remember the Foundation in their Estate Plans and/or wills. And many others have contacted us to help them with their long-term charitable endeavors.

Thus, we felt strongly about developing this Estate Planning Section that would provide numerous tools/resources coupled with examples for your review.

We then urge you to consult with your attorney, accountant or other professional advisor(s) to further review the charitable options.

Again, contact us with any questions and allows us to outline some resources/funds tailored to meet your charitable goals.
